The Wimbledon Tennis Championships

Owing to the generosity of the AELTC, each year The Not Forgotten is able to take over 150 beneficiaries, from numerous service organisations, to Wimbledon to watch the globe’s greatest tennis players battle it out at arguably the world’s best tennis championships. Alternating between Centre Court and Court Number One, each day – from the first day up until the men’s semi-finals – up to 16 beneficiaries are treated to court-side seats and a delicious afternoon tea (complete with strawberries, cream and miniature sandwiches!) at the Wingfield Restaurant.

The Not Forgotten is committed to reducing isolation and loneliness amongst veterans of all ages. The positive, social impact of this event is undeniable, with smiles, laughter and conversation lightening up everyone’s mood. One woman said “this is one of the best things I’ve ever done – I feel like Royalty!”

The Not Forgotten would like to extend a huge thank you to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club for their kindness and for providing so many veterans with such a fantastic day out.
