Jingle Bell Rock! – 12 Christmas ‘Drive-in’ Concerts Announced!

UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR GLASGOW CONCERT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 2021. ALL OTHER SHOWS WILL STILL BE TAKING PLACE AS PLANNED

The Not Forgotten is delighted to announce the launch of ‘Jingle Bell Rock’, a nationwide, live, drive-in concert tour that will bring Christmas to the country’s veterans.

The charity aims to entertain, boost morale and lift lockdown spirits by reaching 1000’s of veterans across the country during the 12-venue tour which launches on 4th December at the John Lennon Airport car park in Liverpool.

Jingle Bell Rock will help to tackle loneliness and isolation during the Christmas period, by bringing a feast of festivities to veterans and their guests, with an interactive entertainment programme featuring singing, dancing, games and a few surprises.

To complete the Christmas party feel, a festive lunch with all the trimmings will be served to guests which will be enjoyed from the safety and warmth of their cars.

Does this fall in line with the government’s latest COVID-19 guidance?

The concerts have been arranged in strict accordance with local and government COVID-19 guidelines:

All events will be held in car parks at airports and leading outdoor venues.

Each vehicle will be parked at a specified distance from others.

This means that weather permitting, veterans can get in the swing of things outside their car and dance the afternoon away – in safety.

The full Safety Guidelines for Jingle Bell Rock can be viewed here.

Are places still available?

Many of the available places have been allocated to beneficiaries of The Not Forgotten – If you are a serving member of the Armed Forces or a veteran who would benefit from our services, you can register with us for future events here.

However, we still have limited invitations available in all locations for veterans to join us with one guest. If you are interested in coming to a Jingle Bell Rock concert near you, please contact Rosie at rosie@thenotforgotten.org for more information.

Where are the events taking place?

The Jingle Bell Rock tour is coming to 12 locations, which are: Liverpool, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton, Ascot, Chatham, Glasgow, Peterborough, Southam, Preston, Newcastle, and Leeds.

You can see the full event locations on the Jingle Bell Rock event map here.

What kind of music can we expect?

The Not Forgotten professional entertainment team will perform a set of popular classics and festive favourites so veterans can enjoy an entertaining singalong and a fun-packed afternoon after spending so many weeks in lockdown.
