Sarah joined The Not Forgotten in June 2024 as part of the Fundraising team, working closely with our dedicated volunteers, supporters and fundraisers to ensure that the opportunities for fundraising and merchandising run smoothly.
Prior to joining The Not Forgotten, she worked for a military club based in London and as a fundraiser for the Pilgrim Bandits charity supporting tri-service and blue light veterans.
Sarah previously worked for four years at the Royal Hospital Chelsea with the In-Pensioners, including in a social care capacity, throughout the Covid pandemic. During this time she saw first hand the devastating impact of social isolation and the positive impact and importance of camaraderie amongst veterans.
Growing up as the daughter of a Royal Engineer who served 22 years she understands the complexities of army life (and moved house 10 times!)
Sarah lives in South West London and is mother to three boys. Now her boys are all well established in their own lives, including one who is serving in the Scots Guards Reserves, she hopes for more time to pursue her love of photography and her studies in biography writing. As she says everyone has a story to tell – you just need to listen very carefully.
