“The challenges of the last year have been great but the increased needs of many veterans during the crisis… meant that Service charities needed to up their game.”

David Cowley – Chairman, The Not Forgotten

It is during the toughest times that charities are needed most, and 2020 was certainly a tough year for our beneficiaries and for people, businesses, and charities around the world.

Despite the obstacles, we were determined to lift the spirits of wounded personnel and disabled veterans. So, we adopted the mantra ‘Improvise, Adapt, Overcome’ and made sure that our whole team was available throughout the pandemic to creatively offer support to those who needed it most.

A Not Forgotten performance through the window of a Cornwall care home

Our 2020-21 Annual Review is packed with positivity and shows how much even the smallest of gestures can mean to those who are isolated and alone.

We performed through the windows of care homes in the rain, held virtual and drive-in performances, offered socially distanced getaways, checked in with veterans over the phone, delivered TV’s and laptops, and much more.

It took a huge effort from our team, our fellow charities, and our supporters, but we are delighted that we were able to support over 11,000 veterans through our events and activities – and that’s not including the +90,000 people who viewed our virtual concerts.
