We are very grateful to The RAF Benevolent Fund, which has kindly awarded us a grant of £7,500.
Their grant will enable us to offer wounded serving personnel and injured veterans a Garden Party Drive-In Concert filled with music, food, and dancing at The Grange in Alresford.
The RAF Benevolent Fund has been supporting the RAF Family since 1919, including serving personnel, veterans and RAF Air Cadets. They also look after the RAF Memorial and Bomber Command Memorial in London.
Peter Ashcroft, Head of Community Welfare Programmes at the RAF Benevolent Fund, said: “These past 18 months have been difficult for everyone, especially older members of our community who have been left isolated and alone.
“The drive-ins are a great way to bring people together, safely, to enjoy some good music and, hopefully, some good weather. The Fund works with partners like The Not Forgotten to reach RAF veterans and ensure no member of the RAF Family faces adversity alone.”
The Not Forgotten would like to thank the RAF Benevolent Fund for their continued support.
