Veterans ‘buckle up’ for drive of their lives at Brands Hatch Track Day
It was a privilege to host 60 injured ex-service personnel at our annual track day at Brands Hatch Circuit.
The group, including injured, wounded and sick veterans from numerous campaigns spent a high-octane day experiencing the thrill of being driven around the iconic track by professionals in a range of sensational, high-performance road and racing cars.
The adrenaline-filled day started with track-side bacon butties and finished with veterans gathering at the Mercure Brands Hatch Hotel for a dinner where guests mingled to swap stories about their exhilarating experiences.
One veteran in attendance said: “It was a fantastic event to be part of and totally exceeded any expectations I had, really nice bunch of people who ran the day at the circuit and the very professional group of drivers who gave up their time for us veterans, all followed by a real fun dinner, great day for me and my shipmate. Thank you so much.”
Another added: “The drivers definitely showed us what their cars could do, and it’s certainly the fastest I’ve travelled in a vehicle without wings! The evening in the hotel was lovely, and it was great to meet so many from all over the country.”
Our thanks go out to our incredible supporters for arranging the day and to all the drivers and car owners for giving their time so that our beneficiaries could enjoy such a wonderful experience and a day that they will never forget.
