Digital Inclusion Programme

Our Digital Inclusion Programme

Some of the most isolated of the veterans we support are those who face physical or psychological challenges meaning they are not able to leave their house and join in our social events programme.

For these veterans, the means to connect to other veterans and support networks via digital technology is vital, as is the company of a television.

But many of them struggle to afford a laptop, tablet, television or even a TV license.
Since 1952 The Not Forgotten has paid for TV sets for isolated veterans. More recently, since 2018 we have supplied laptops and tablets, working with partner agencies such as SSAFA to identify those in need.
In 2023-24 we supplied 49 TV licenses (including group licenses to care homes), 22 televisions and 7 tablets/laptops.
Over the next few years we are investing iun other online communities such as forums, apps and gaming.

All helping to combat isolation and loneliness by providing a vital link to the outside world and online communities.
